Robert Barestrand was just a young boy when the murder of Sweden’s former prime minister took place. Despite that, he was at the scene, and he says that he knows the persons the carried out the assassination. Robert had come to befriend a number of older men which he shared interests with, and that’s how he ended up at the murder scene.

The official explanation from the group was that they were there to prepare for shooting a movie. A valid explanation, since one of the group members worked with just that. But that’s not how it played out. Instead, Robert came to be the first person to arrive to Olof Palme’s body. He even performed CPR on him. But to no avail. Because Robert didn’t know what had happened, and he wasn’t involved in the murder, himself.

Now, many years later, he wants to tell his story. A story that actually can be confirmed by a number of witnesses to this horrific crime.

Along with reseachers, writers and similar, Robert has published the book “The Hidden Witness” (“Ynglingen är återfunnen” in Swedish), where he tells his story.
